About :
#Tope #Alabi, a #Nigerian #gospel #singer, #songwriter and #actor was born on the 27thh of #October in #Lagos State, Nigeria. And she is the only daughter of the three children.
Earlier this week, a video spotting Tope Alabi dancing ‘#Zanku’ and ‘#soapy’ at her Father’s burial went viral over the #internet, with many #fans questioning her #spirituality.
Some social media users who called out the #gospel singer, said she is now, way far from who she was #10 years ago
There were comments on different social media platforms and particularly this one from a Facebook user that went really viral.
“This is Evangelist Tope Alabi .. What is this world turning to for God sake. The Tope Alabi I knew 10 years ago is totally different from this one.
However reacting to the video in an interview on TVC’s “Wakeup Nigeria”, Tope Alabi stated that she needed that dance at that time.
According to the singer, she was dancing at her father’s burial and people with “spiritual eyes” will understand its meaning.
She explained she needed to praise God in dancing ‘cuz it wasn’t easy burying her father and people really might not understand.
Soji Alabi, the husband to popular gospel artiste, Tope Alabi has now reacted in defence of his wife.
The husband, who spoke to Celebrity Diary on the telephone, said
“People should not just believe things without finding out the reasons. That video was definitely recorded at the wake keep service of my wife’s late father. As somebody who just lost her father, she was just trying to dance away the tears and she just expressed herself. Nobody saw her when she was crying, but now they are against her for dancing?
The wake keep was organized by some gospel artists and it was held in front of her late father’s house. Somebody must have recorded the video and sent it online for reasons best known to only God. My wife has done nothing wrong please” he pleaded.
Now we call it a wrap. Make sure you subscribe or stay subscribed to #AfriBURN TV for more stories as we tell them.
